Based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, this "Poetanative Rock" quartet has been pushing the boundaries of the Japanese underground since 2010. Refined into their current lineup in 2012, the band delivers a sound that is highly original, subtly cynical, and abnormally technical. Their music occupies a unique sonic space—not quite prog, not quite hardcore, but a sharp alternative evolution. Instead of traditional singing, the vocals arrive as a haunting spoken-word delivery that sits somewhere between raw poetry and rhythmic incantation. They have built a fierce reputation through high-profile collaborations and genre-bending shows alongside artists like BiSH, Triple Fire, and SuiseiNoboAz. Following the release of their 1st mini-album Setsuwa and a standout appearance on the HELLO!!! vol.10 compilation, the band solidified their status by selling out their first solo headline show ("Apa") to a capacity crowd in their hometown. Brilliantly avant-garde and technically precise, they remain one of the most intriguing acts in the scene today. (And if you believe the rumors, you might find them riding brown bears through the Hokkaido wilderness on their off-days.) For fans of: Technical math-rock, post-punk poetry, and the cutting edge of Japanese Alt-Rock.
