Singer-songwriter from Osaka, Japan, active since 2018, reshaping contemporary folk with a genre-blurring approach. Describing his sound as “Soul Folk” and “Neo-Folk,” he explores the essence of folk music across diverse styles, blending storytelling with a modern, expressive sensibility. To date, he has released five albums, building a distinctive and evolving body of work. Beyond his solo career, Ougishiba actively curates and connects the independent scene—organizing events and founding the folk collective Shayoku-ku. Since 2024, he has also expanded internationally, touring annually in Seoul and Busan, fostering creative exchange across Asian music communities.
